Lyrics

You need some flour, sugar and eggs too
and some baking powder, a stick of butter, ooo hoo
you can cook everything from soup to steak
But don't be mistaken because it's nothing like bakin' a cake
Baking a Cake, Bakin' Cake, Bakin' a Cake, Baking a Cake!
Chocolate or vanilla, any flavor will do!
mix it all together, now its a bowl of goo
You could have made pudding, that you'd eat till you ache
But whatever your making, it's nothing like bakin' a cake
Baking a Cake, Bakin' Cake, Bakin' a Cake, Baking a Cake!

Best of all is when its out from the oven
you're so proud yourself 'cus you put all the love in
and it's so exciting to give it away
when everyone shouts "Happy Birthday!"

Baking a Cake! It's a sweet thing to do! Baking a Cake!
Frosting and Candles too! Baking a Cake!
Happy Birthday...Happy Birthday...to you!
Baking a Cake! Baking a Cake! Baking a Cake!
