Nicolas Michael Angelis (born on April 29, 1944 in Merseyside, Liverpool, England, UK - died on May 30, 2020 in Berkshire, England) was an English actor and voice actor who was the longest running narrator for Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends in the UK, serving from 1991 until 2012. He also narrated six episodes for the US DVD, New Friends for Thomas and Other Adventures.
He was originally hired to voice James and Percy in Thomas and the Magic Railroad but those characters were given to Susan Roman and Linda Ballantyne after test audiences claimed he made his characters sound "too old".
